The goal was to take the "taste of home" and recreate the home with this as the driver. For this project, I focused on the seemingly boring task of brushing ones teeth. This scenario was mindfully observed. This abstract sensation was brought into a physical form through initial explorations. Perforations quickly became the most successful atmosphere creating component of the models. The final model form was created through digital modeling to produce an accurate pattern. The paper was carefully selected for thickness and structural integrity. Punching holes was a long process and the amount needed to create the intended lighting effect was unknown until it was reached.
Exhibited in HOME, 17th July to 24th July 2018.
